Community Ministries

When asked, “Who is my neighbor?”, Jesus replied with the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10). It is our responsibility and our privilege to reach out with mercy and the hope of the Gospel to our “neighbors” in need.

New Hopewell Elementary

Crosswalk has a long history and relationship with New Hopewell Elementary. We serve the school and encourage the staff and families in a variety of ways throughout the year, including family nights, teacher support and appreciation, property care, reading to students, and other opportunities as the school has need.

Our most regular service is our Good News Club, an afterschool program at the school. During this time we have the privilege of caring for kids and sharing the good news of the Gospel through Bible stories, music, activities, and prayer.

Rummage Sale

Who doesn’t love a good bargain?! Every Spring, we serve our community by hosting a rummage sale. We fill our fellowship hall with furniture, household goods, toys, decorations, antiques, clothing, homemade baked treats, and so much more!

Each year the sale is the Saturday following Easter, Saturday, April 3rd, from 9:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Food Supply Drive

Twice a year (August and January), we gather food supplies for students and families at New Hopewell Elementary School. These non-perishable food items are given to families in need to ensure students do not experience a food insecurity when not at school.

Trunk or Treat

In the Fall, we open our church parking lot and decorate our trucks and trunks in order to provide families and kids with a fun and safe place to dress up and trick or treat.
