At CrossWalk Community Church you will be greeted as our guest when you enter the lobby. You will receive a welcome packet that includes basic information about our church as well as a "Let's Get Acquainted" card that will enable us to follow-up on your visit. This information will not be shared with anyone else. We simply would like to have the opportunity to express to you our appreciation for your visit.
Down the left hallway you will find our children's department. The infant nursery is on your right and the toddler room is on your left. After registering your children you will receive an electronic monitor that will allow us to contact you during the service, should the need to do so arise.
Upon entering the sanctuary area, there are tables to your left with refreshments and coffee for your enjoyment prior to the worship service. Our service begins at 10 a.m.. Our seating is somewhat unique in that there are tables in the center portion of the room and rows of chairs on the sides. It is a very family friendly, informal atmosphere which is very inviting. We have no formal dress code, dress ranges from suits to jeans. There is no need for "special" clothing - we believe our Lord is more concerned about what is on the inside of a person than what they may wear on the outside.
Music is a very integral part of our community life. We have an excellent praise band that leads our congregation in a variety of music styles. There are songs that come from Scripture, contemporary expressions of worship and older hymns that perhaps have been updated in their arrangement. Our worship flows out of grateful recognition of who God is and what He has done. We have times of prayer and periodic sharing by members of the congregation. Prior to the Scripture reading and sermon, we dismiss our children (kindergarten through elementary) for a special time of their own called Kids Crossing. Our offering is handled a bit differently from the more traditional "passing of the plate." We have what we call a "first fruits chest" that is centrally located with offering envelops avaiable for use. We encourage people to give their tithes and offerings at their convenience each week. Although we do not designate a time during the service, we emphasize that this is a very important part of our worship, acknowledging God's ownership of everything that we have and all that we are.
Typically, on the first Sunday of the month we have what we call CrossWalk Cafe. The members of the congregation bring food to share and we have lunch together following the worship service. It is a great time to visit with one another and get to know new friends.
